ITEMS OF INTEREST

BUILDING FUND There are several building dedication opportunities that remain available, as well as sponsorships for the Sefer Torah that is being written in memory of HaRav Gedalia Felder זצ"ל .  If you are interested in learning more about any of these opportunities, please speak with either Zev Rosenblum or Lawrence Weinberg.

TZEDAKAH FUND We are constantly being called upon to support a variety of causes and needy individuals.  Our Shul has a Tzedakah Fund used for that purpose.  Be a contributor to this worthy fund. Assist the needy and worthy institutions through your Shul Tzedakah Fund.  Send your contribution to the Tzedakah Fund and you will receive a tax deductible receipt.

UPDATING OUR RECORDS If you have moved or your phone number has been changed - please phone and inform the Shul office.

WE WOULD LIKE TO GET INFORMATION In the event of a Simcha in your family or any other special event - we would like to know - in order to record it.  Please call the Shul office.

KADDISH SERVICE Kaddish service can be arranged through our office.  Kaddish is recited for the first eleven months after the burial of the deceased, and on each Yahrzeit thereafter.

BEQUESTS Our Sages suggest that each person, regardless of age, shall write for himself/herself a will.  One may leave money for tzedakah in his/her will and when doing so, kindly remember our Shul.  The Shul will place a plaque on our Yahrtzeit tablet which is lit on the Shabbos prior to the Yahrtzeit, and on the Yahrtzeit itself.  This great Mitzvah of Tzedakah will merit and benefit the neshama of the departed in Olam Haba.

BRONZE MEMORIAL TABLET There is no more appropriate or finer manner of perpetuating and honouring the memory of your dear and beloved ones than by inscribing their names on the Bronze Memorial Tablet in the Sanctuary.  For information contact the Shul office.  Each Memorial Tablet bears the name and Yahrtzeit date of a beloved one.  Each individual plaque is lit on the Shabbos of the week of the Yahrtzeit, on the Yahrtzeit anniversary and on days when Yizkor is recited.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE We are pleased to inform you that in the past year we have received quite a number of new members in our Shul.  If you know anyone who is davening in our Shul and is not a member, or someone who is interested in using the facilities our Shul provides, please encourage them to become members.  We have a growing budget and to cover it we need a growing membership.  If you have any questions regarding the Shul membership please contact Yosi Rubinoff.

IMPORTANT - YOUR COOPERATION PLEASE Our Rav and members are anxious to serve members of the Shul.  Many times there are members who are ill and do not receive visitors or phone calls because their family and friends neglect to inform us of their illness.  We request your cooperation in this matter.  Please inform the Rav of anyone who is ill and would appreciate a visitor or phone call.

ANNOUNCEMENTS If anyone has an announcement that he wishes be announced on Shabbos morning, i.e. shiur, meeting, mazel tov, etc., please inform Yosi Rubinoff by Wednesday.  In this manner we will avoid any confusion and any omissions.

A NOTE FROM THE GABBOIM In order to avoid mistakes, oversights or confusion we request that you please inform us, if possible, of any chiyuvim (i.e. yahrzeit, etc.) for aliyos during the week prior to the Shabbos on which you require an aliyah.  We express our gratitude in advance for your cooperation.
